Social Media Shadow Banning
LinkedIn, Facebook, Tik-Tok, and Threads have all given me content warnings. LinkedIn and Facebook have restricted my posts and given me bullying warnings. In both cases it was because I reposted screenshot s of comments from particularly aggressive trolls. When I have reported trolls for bullying the response has been that the troll's comments did not go against their community standards.
My highlighting those same comments and calling the bullies out has been deemed bullying and yet the actual bullying is okay. This has been lifelong pattern of how transgender people have been treated. Silently accepting bullying is okay. Standing up for yourself against the bullying makes the villains the victim.
This is how I was treated in school for standing up against a bully and how I was treated by my employer in 2024 when I spoke up about a bullying coworker. The coworker was rewarded; I was retaliated against and punished. The result became my book My Life in Transition - Becoming a Phoenix.
In a strange way of being validated Tik-Tok & Threads have both found this video to be against their community standards. My video is a statement on transgender beauty. I have seen cisgender female posts far more suggestive than mine.
Threads banned the video although based on the rhetoric that "I am a man" the video is perfectly okay. Also, under their rules my video should receive an exception as a female used in a form of protest.

Shared Rules: Threads uses Meta's unified Community Standards, which are the same policies enforced on Instagram. [1, 2]
No Explicit Nudity: Visible male genitals, unmasked explicit groin areas, and sexual acts are completely banned. [1, 2]
Male Chests and Nipples: Unlike female-presenting nipples, male chests and nipples are generally allowed under Meta's guidelines, provided the post is not overtly sexual or intended as sexual solicitation.
Suggestive Content: Content deemed overly suggestive (such as sheer or see-through clothing showing underwear or suggestive poses) may be restricted, limited in recommendations, or flagged by automated enforcement, even if it does not cross the line into total removal.
Tik-Tok - kept the video up; however, restricts it from being seen by others for the same reasons.
The very platforms that allow transgender women to be trolled have limited my content because it has unacceptable female imagery.
It is ironic that bullying me and insisting that I have a mental illness, I am a man, I should do the world a favor and end my life all fall within their acceptable content.
The ultimate irony is that Meta & LinkedIn constantly suggest that I pay them to promote the same content that they have restricted. It would be great if I could turn those suggestions off.
