Transgender Genocide
MAGA is systematically trying to erase the transgender community. It is calculated and inhumane. They ignore conclusive scientific evidence that being transgender happens during fetal development. They also ignore compelling statistics that transgender youth, without support, are at the highest suicide risk of all other youth.
They know that the end result of their legislative actions will result in the death of a significant number of transgender people. The legislative goal is two-fold. It aims to erase transgender people from the public arena. They use anti-transgender ideology and propaganda to demonize transgender people for merely existing. This first goal is to erase transgender people so that we are out of site and out of mind.
The second goal is even more sinister. They are making it incredibly easy to incarcerate transgender people who they don't murder through legislated suicide. Out of the public mind, they are forcibly removing gender affirming care and placing transgender people in prison based on their assigned gender. Those who survive the high death rate of being killed by other inmates will die fairly quickly as a result of the forced detransition.
You the taxpayer are contributing to the over $50 million per year spent on legislating the transgender community out of existence. A part of every one of the paychecks which you earn contibutes to the death of people based strictly on how they were born. It is highly likely that at the current rate the genocide may be near complete by 2028.
The transgender community's only hope for survival is a legislative reversal as a result of the mid-terms. Once the transgender genocide is complete it is highly likely that the rest of the LGBTQ+ community will be the next target for genocide.
The ultimate goal for MAGA is a white, "Christian", patriarchal nation. The notion that America was ever great is strictly based on that view. America has only been great for white men of means.
MAGA wants to return to a society wher women are property and people of color can be treated like property as well. Our prison system is quickly becoming like that of the 1930s and early 40s Germany. Legislated labor to enrich the already rich in order to create a white supremacist society.
If you vote for Rebublicans this mid-term you are saying that you approve of earning money to contribute to genocide. If you do not vote you are saying the same thing. The only hope for the survival of the transgender community and subsequent marginalized communities is for a massive congressional turnover from red to blue.
For the transgender community remaining visibly authentic is critical. I will not be erased, and I will not be silent. I will joyfully resist this current tyranny.

This is such a difficult but incredibly important conversation to have. What really stands out to me is the reminder that attacks on transgender rights are not just political disagreements; they have real consequences for people's safety, healthcare, dignity, and ability to live openly as themselves. No one should have to fear losing access to essential care or being treated as less deserving of protection simply because of their gender identity.
